About Us
Tilaa Limited (“Tilaa”) is a limited liability company registered and incorporated under the laws of Ghana in 2015 with the Registrar General Department of Ghana. The company currently owns 200 acres of farmland and 50 beehives in the Northern Region for beekeeping and honey/wax processing.
The agro-ecological conditions across all regions of Ghana are considered suitable for honey production in all regions. The West African honey bee, the Apis Mellifera Adansonil, is best adapted to the tropical conditions of Ghana, and therefore, is the most commonly used in the country.
Despite these favourable conditions, the beekeeping industry in the country remains in its infancy. The industry still requires substantial government and private support if it is to achieve its full, lucrative potential.

By adhering to self-imposed strict standards of quality control, Tilaa is able to produce exceptionally pure honey, which is its main competitive advantage over the other honey producers.
As a vertically integrated company, Tilaa also processes and packages the honey it produces, thereby giving it absolute control over the final products. In an effort to scale up, the company has registered with Ghana Investment Promotion Center (GIPC), Fair Trade International, National Board for Small Scale Industries, and Ghana Export Promotion Center. These affiliations have exposed Tilaa to an invaluable network of both domestic and international prospective customers and business partners.
Our Team
Sadik Ibn Abdulai
Managing Director
Mr. Sadik Ibn Abdullai is the Managing Director (MD) and a co-founder of Tilaa Company Limited. He has over eight years experience in agriculture, especially in bee keeping. He has acquired a certificate in bee keeping from Tamale Technical University. He was the Financial Officer of Dahinsheli Micro Finance, a local Micro Finance company that offer savings and loans service to agro-based companies in Tamale.
He is a graduate of the University of Professional Studies, Accra (UPSA) Ghana where he obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Banking and Finance.
Danladi Adbul Mumin
Chief Financial Officer
Mr. Danladi Abdul Mumin is the accountant of Tilaa Company Limited. He is a young professional in the field of accounting and finance. He studied Commerce at the University of Cape Coast, Ghana. He is also a charted accountant with the Institute of Charted Accountants Ghana (ICAG). He has experience in accounting having worked at the Tamale Teaching Hospital, Avnash Industries Ghana Ltd and Audit service.
Mohammed Ali Ibrahim
Operations Manager
Mohammed Ali Ibrahim is the Operations Manager of Tilaa Company Limited. He has over thirty years of experience in bee keeping. He has served as a bee keeping consultant for several non-governmental organizations (NGOs) like that of Opportunity International Corporation (OIC). He has a certificate in beekeeping from the Tamale Technical University.
Abubakari Ibrahim
Assistant Operations Manager
Abubakari Ibrahim is the Assistant Operations Manager of Tilaa Company Limited. He has two years of experience in Beekeeping.
He did his National Service at the Wildlife Division of the Forestry Commission and was part of the team that implemented the World Bank project on Community Resource Management which seek to reduce over exploitation of the natural resources within the eastern wildlife corridors by implementing Beekeeping as a sub-project. He is also a fellow from MBC Africa Youth Fellowship Program and a past team leader from International Citizens Service, a UK based charity organization.
He is a graduate of the University for Development Studies with a Bachelor's Degree in Renewable Natural Resource Management.
Daniel Ommara Oska
Marketing Manager
Mr. Danial Ommara Oska is the marketing officer of Tilaa Company Limited. He has four years working experience in sales and marketing. He has a Bachelor's Degree in Estate Development from the University for Development Studies. Also, Daniel is a fellow from MBC Africa Youth Fellowship Program.
Yakubu Farouk
Internal Auditor
Yakubu Farouk is the Internal Auditor of Tilaa Company Limited. He has seven years experience in auditing. He has worked as an internal auditor in a non-governmental organization (NGOs.) He has a Bachelor's Degree in Business administration - Accounting from University of Education, Wenniba.
